Abstract

This paper investigates the role of intelligent virtual assistants (IVAs) in improving patient engagement within the realm of dental healthcare. IVAs, powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP), offer a promising avenue for enhancing patient-provider interactions, appointment scheduling, treatment adherence, and oral health education. The study reviews current applications of IVAs in dentistry, their benefits, challenges, and future potential. The findings highlight the significant impact of IVAs on patient satisfaction, treatment outcomes, and overall dental practice efficiency. This research contributes to the understanding of how IVAs can revolutionize patient engagement in dental healthcare, paving the way for more personalized and efficient oral care delivery.
